How to Participate in Town Government - Week of May 1, 2022 (Updated)

Updated 5/2/2022 at 1:18 p.m. The Select Board meeting on Monday has been cancelled. Select Board will not hold a meeting in advance of Town Meeting; however, its members will be in attendance at Town Meeting.
The highlight of opportunities to participate in town government this week is, of course, Town Meeting on Monday. Registered residents will head to the high school auditorium to voice their votes on 23 Warrant Articles. Select Board Meeting, Monday, May 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. If needed, Select Board will meet in-person in Westwood High School’s Little Theatre prior to the 2022 Annual Town Meeting to be held at 6:30 p.m. that same evening. On the agenda is an update on the Memorial Day Parade scheduled for May 30, 2022 and a review of the Town Meeting Warrant Articles that will come up for a vote at the 2022 Town Meeting.
Annual Town Meeting, Monday, May 2, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m. registration). This in-person meeting will be held in the Westwood High School auditorium at 200 Nahatan Street. There will be awards and recognitions at 6:00 p.m. The business portion of the meeting, in which residents will vote on Warrant Articles, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Select Board and Planning Board members will be in attendance.
Audit Committee Meeting, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. This in-person meeting will be held in the Jaillet Meeting Room of the Westwood Police Station. A new committee member will be introduced and there will be an update on student activity and a review of the FY 2022 Audit Plan.
Community Electricity Aggregation Group Meeting via Zoom, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. The committee will discuss revisions to a draft of a CCE video script and review other documents related to the CCE launch.

School Building Committee Aesthetics and Design Subcommittee Meeting, Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. This in-person meeting is being held at the Westwood Public schools District Administration Office Professional Development Room at 220 Nahatan Street in Westwood. The subcommittee will review a sample of Terracotta and address any new business not reasonably anticipated.
