State House News reports that Massachusetts' April 2022 tax receipts exceeded April 2021 tax receipts by 80 percent, or more than $3 billion over last year's collection. This means the state will have a large budget surplus.
These are great strides in addressing concerns about a lack of openness and two way dialogue raised by Westwood citizens. Thanks to the Select Board and to Mr. Read for listening and acting.
