Beautification Brings Together Lifeworks Staff, Volunteers, and Program Participants
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., volunteers and staff of Westwood nonprofit Lifeworks will embark on a spring beautification project that includes landscaping and painting flower pots.
A group of volunteers from Keller Williams Realty will help Lifeworks brighten up its headquarters in Westwood as part of the realty group’s RED Day, an annual day of service. Volunteers and Lifeworks staff will tend to the building’s landscaping, while Lifeworks’ participants will contribute by painting plant pots inside the day habilitation program.
The efforts are part of Lifeworks’ Forsberg Beautification Project that is intended to ensure that community residences feel like homes and that other spaces feel welcoming to participants and their families. It seeks to create connections through inclusive opportunities for community volunteers and generates new educational programs and activities.
Lifeworks is a nonprofit human services agency that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
