On July 14, 2022, the state House and Senate passed a bill extending provisions to allow remote public access to meetings.

State provisions pertaining to the Open Meeting Law and remote meetings, which were set to expire on July 15, 2022, would be extended to March 31, 2023.

The bill is before the Governor and will take effect immediately upon signing.

Westwood's Zoning Board of Appeals has already scheduled its next meeting with remote access for Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
