The Town of Westwood has announced that the Clapboardtree Street Sewer Pump Station Rehabilitation Project, which includes replacing a sewer main, will begin Monday, April 17th and is expected to result in partial detours.
The project is expected to run through Friday, April 28th, during which time traffic will only flow in the westbound direction. Additionally, with the exception of residents living within the project area, traffic will be prohibited during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the section of Clapboardtree Street that extends from Pond Street to Nahatan Street.
Questions about the project can be directed to the Westwood Department of Public Works at 781-326-8661.
The cost of $27,000 could have been avoided if the tax payers were notified about the idea of taking the WLT to court and it was discussed at a regular town meeting. Especially when a town takes the unusual step of taking its own land trust to court.
Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 48 and low of 30 degrees. Freezing fog for the morning, overcast during the afternoon, freezing fog overnight.
