After she ended the U.S. women's Olympic figure skating's gold medal drought since 2002 and overall medal drought since 2006 by taking first place at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, a little over a week later, Alysa Liu graced the ice in Norwood at The Skating Club of Boston's Ice Chips: A World Journey over the weekend of February 28th to March 1st.

In Liu's first appearance on the ice, she skated to a moody, rhythmic musical selection, Joji's Slow Dancing in the Dark. Later, she delighted the audience by reprising her Winter Olympics Exhibition Gala performance to PinkPantheress' Stateside with Zara Larsson.

Along with elite Olympic athletes, Ice Chips was a showcase of local and up-and-coming talent.

Also performing were Olympic pairs team Emily Chan and Spencer Howe and individual skaters Max Naumov and Aleksandr Selevko, both also Olympians. After their spotlight performances, the Olympians joined with skaters of all ages and ability levels for an all-cast finale.
