Westwood In A Minute: Wednesday Night's Super Blue Moon

Did you see the second supermoon of August, known as a blue moon for occurring twice in a month? If you missed it, here's what it looked like from Westwood:

Photo by Megan Curtis-Murphy. The super blue moon rises over Buckmaster Pond on the evening of August 30, 2023.
Photo by Westwood Minute/Darlene Wong Cancell. Around 9 p.m., on August 30, 2023, the super blue moon was obscured by clouds. By late night, it had risen into a clear sky.

If you have photos from last night to share, free to post them in a reply. Or send them, or any other local moment in time that you want to share, to WestwoodInAMinute@gmail.com.

Thanks to Megan Curtis-Murphy for the photo, and for a reminder of this event.
