Hannah Crowley Named Xaverian's Varsity Ultimate Disc Head Coach
Westwood, MA – Hannah Crowley, resident of Waltham, has been named Xaverian Brothers High School's Head Coach for Varsity Ultimate Disc, starting in spring 2024. Crowley began playing ultimate disc in 2014 as a freshman at Tufts University. Her college team ranked among the top 20 of more than 200 women’s teams in the United States, qualifying for the D-1 National Championships in 2017 and again in 2018 during her senior year. She served as team captain that year.
Since 2017, Crowley has played on and has captained a mixed ultimate disc club team based out of Boston which has qualified for the annual Club Nationals, as well as the World Ultimate Club Championship (2018). She’s looking forward to bringing her perspective as a player and as Xaverian’s former JV ultimate disc coach to this new role. “I’m excited to work with the team to reach their goals on and off the field as players, teammates, and young men,” she says. “Although I’ve found the sport tremendously fun, I equally cherish the lifelong friendships and memories forged with my own teammates over the years.” She hopes to lead Xaverian student athletes in finding similar joy, sportsmanship, and community.
Xaverian’s Athletic Director, Ted Currle, is excited to have her on board, saying, “We are very lucky to have Coach Crowley take over our ultimate disc program. Her knowledge and energy for the sport will go a long way for the future of our team. We all look forward to working with her for years to come.”
