On Tuesday evening, August 6th, local area police departments are participating in National Night Out, a community building event held to strengthen relationships between local police and the communities they serve.
Needham Police Department is participating in the national project for the first this year, at Needham Town Common from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with their comfort dogs, SWAT gear, a UTV and more.
Walpole Police will hold their National Night Out at 5;30 p.m. on Stone Field with face painting, inflatables, fire trucks, live music, and a showing of an outdoor movie, Dr. Doolittle, at 8:15 p.m.
Norwood Police holds its National Night Out event on the Norwood Town Common from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a dunk tank, games, a cruiser demo, motorcycles, ice cream, hot dogs and pizza and food.
