Job as a Scholastic Kid Reporter (for 10-14 years old)

Scholastic Kids Press is accepting applications for Kid Reporters, from now through June 1, 2022. Scholastic Kid Reporters write stories for Scholastic Kids Press, and are required to have interviewing skills and attention to detail. 

Applicants should be between 10 to 14 years of age, born on or between September 1, 2008 to August 31, 2012. They need to write a news story, two story ideas and a personal essay. The application and more information can be found here.

Needham resident Maxwell Surprenant, editor-in-chief of his high school paper and CEO/founder of Catching Joy, was a Scholastic Kid Reporter from 2016 to 2018. During that time, he covered presidential candidate campaigning, the Nickelodean Kids Choice Sports Awards, numerous authors/poets/illustrators and their works, interviewed sports heroes, politicians and  celebrities, and attended events like the U.S. Open.
