BID Needham Grant Award Aids with Funding Westwood INTERFACE Referral Service

Westwood Youth & Family Services Director Danielle Sutton announced that Westwood has been awarded a grant through Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Needham, and the grant was accepted by Select Board on Monday, May 23, 2022. The grant is in the amount of $18,000 to be paid over three years, and will go toward Westwood's subscription to the William James College INTERFACE Referral Service.

The referral service matches residents of any age with mental health providers to fill a variety of needs, including psychiatric evaluations, therapy, and medications. The subscription service, which costs the town about $12,000 per year, is expected to rise in cost next year to about $20,000 annually.  Residents, however, can use the service without incurring any fees.
