With its Gala of Giving in sight on March 25th, Westwood Community Chest (WCC) organizers have announced both silent and live auctions this year. WCC's online silent auction is set to go live by March 19th, while event attendees can participate in a live auction on March 25th to be held at Westwood’s Neroli Restaurant.

"We want to bring back the excitement of live bidding amongst neighbors and friends!" says event organizer Kimberly Chase. Live auction items include two getaways, Red Sox tickets, a golf experience at a historic country club, and more. Online silent auction items include the Revolution soccer tickets, beauty and fitness bundles, a birthday party at Hale among other items.

Other entertainment includes a live raffle and wine pull. Raffle tickets, which can be purchased online with event tickets, include prizes of an outdoor movie experience package and two outdoor heaters. Participants of the in-person Wine Pull have the chance of drawing a $50 bottle of wine. "No one really loses here," says Chase.

On this year's culinary experience, Chase says, "Our guests and supporters will sip exclusive cocktails, mocktails and wonderful wine choices, while meandering around the multitude of delicious food stations now set at the front of the restaurant."

Each year, WCC, which is a volunteer-run non-profit organization, holds its annual Gala event that not only brings Westwood neighbors together, but also is WCC's main fundraiser. The funds from this event help to provide monetary assistance needed for those that come to WCC for confidential support. WCC grants pay for housing, transportation, utilities, medical bills, camperships and other needs.

"The Gala of Giving event is an annual fundraiser dedicated to helping our neighbors in need, and celebrating our community with an unforgettable night out!" says Chase.

Ticket information is available at westwoodcommunitychest.org.
