Local Westwood area Fourth of July celebrations and fireworks are in the works now through July 4th. As early as this weekend, you can find a carnival and fireworks in Millis and Canton. Later in the week, the celebrations continue in Needham, Walpole, Norwood, Newton, and Sharon. Take a look at Westwood Minute's compilation below, and get ready for your Independence Day Holiday!

Town Park
Fireworks are set off at 9:30 p.m. on June 29th in Millis, on the second night of a 3 day carnival. [more details]
Irish Cultural Centre
Enjoy entertainment and food/drinks for purchase at Irish Cultural Centre Pub. Activities include inflatables, face painting, and airbrush tattoos. Fireworks are at 9:00 p.m. [more details]
Veterans Memorial Park Beach
The Town of Sharon celebrates Independence Day with a Children's Parade, pie eating contest, fireworks and more.  Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. [more details]
Memorial Park
Needham Exchange Club hosts a celebration of the Fourth beginning on July 3rd and continuing into the morning of July 4th. There will be children's entertainment and a pie eating contest on July 3rd. Fireworks begin at dark on Wednesday, and a parade of community floats is on the morning of July 4th. This year, Walpole's Fourth of July Parade coincides with the town's 300th anniversary, and the town's 300th Anniversary Committee promises a special fireworks display in honor of the event! The Annual Fire Truck Parade starts at 6 p.m., and immediately following the parade, a celebration will begin behind Walpole Fire Station. [more details]
Newton Centre Bowl & Albemarle/Halloran Field
The City of Newton presents a 4th of July celebration, and invites visitors to come dressed in patriotic costume.Â
Fireworks are planned for 9:00 p.m. [more details]
Children are invited to participate in the  Children's Bicycle, Tricycle, Doll Carriage and Historic Character Parade. Participants receive a t-shirt and ribbon, and a chance to be judged for best decorations.
